VELUX® Windows and Roofing in Holcombe Brook

Homes and roofs in Holcombe Brook

Holcombe Brook is largely made up of semis, detached houses and bungalows built from the mid-twentieth century onwards, with tiled roofs, extensions and loft rooms. The older village of Holcombe on the hillside has stone cottages and houses with slate or stone roofs.

Beneath the moor

Homes beneath Holcombe Moor face strong winds and rain, and roofs on the hillside take the worst of it. Ridges, verges and flashings are common repairs. Older stone buildings in Holcombe need sympathetic repair.

Many bungalows in Holcombe Brook have been converted with roof windows to add bedrooms, and we can install new windows or replace older ones. Electric and solar windows with rain sensors offer extra reassurance on exposed sites. Flat-roofed garages and extensions from the 1970s and 1980s are also common here and often due for renewal.
