VELUX® Windows and Roofing in Ainsworth

Homes and roofs in Ainsworth

Bury Council's conservation area appraisal describes Ainsworth's nineteenth-century stone terraces along Church Street and older buildings around the church and chapel. Around the conservation area there are later semis, detached homes and bungalows, and farms on the surrounding land.

The Ainsworth conservation area

The core of the village is a conservation area, so repairs to older stone buildings should use matching slate and suitable mortars, and roof windows on prominent slopes may need permission. Its elevated position, with fields all around, means homes catch plenty of wind and rain.

Loft rooms in Ainsworth's terraces and newer homes are often lit by roof windows. We can install low-profile windows that suit the village, replace older windows and service existing ones.
