Pitched and flat roofs of every age
Most homes in the region have pitched roofs. Natural slate is typical on Victorian and Edwardian houses, while clay and concrete tiles are more common from the 1920s onwards. Each has its own repair methods, fixings and flashing details, and mixing the wrong materials can cause problems later.
Flat roofs are found on extensions, garages, dormers and many commercial buildings. Most failures start at the edges, upstands and outlets rather than in the middle of the roof, so that is where we look first.

For landlords, managing agents and commercial owners, regular inspections and gutter clearing are often the cheapest way to avoid larger, unplanned repairs. We can agree a sensible inspection routine for a single building or a portfolio.

Roofing questions
How do I know if my roof needs repairing or replacing?
Occasional slipped slates or a single leak can usually be repaired. Widespread slipping, sagging, failed underlay or leaks in several places suggest the roof is near the end of its life. We will give you an honest view and, where it helps, the cost of both options.

Yes. We repair and replace flat roofs on extensions, garages, dormers and commercial buildings.
Do you carry out roofing for commercial buildings?
Yes. We work for commercial property owners, landlords, managing agents and facilities teams on repairs, replacements and planned maintenance.
Will I need scaffolding?
It depends on the height of the roof, its pitch and the length of the job. Small repairs can often be done with roof ladders or access equipment. If scaffolding is needed, it will be included and explained in your quote.
