Common tiled roof problems

Ridges and verges

Mortar-bedded ridges and verges are exposed to the worst of the weather and are among the most common repairs we carry out. We can re-bed them in mortar or, where suitable, fit a mechanically fixed dry ridge or dry verge system that doesn't rely on mortar to stay in place.

Clay and concrete tiles

Plain clay tiles are common on many inter-war homes and in parts of rural Cheshire. Interlocking concrete tiles became widespread after the war and cover many estates built since. Matching tiles matters, both for appearance and because tiles from different ranges don't always interlock. We source matching or compatible tiles wherever possible.

Re-roofing in tile
