VELUX® Windows and Roofing in Sale

Homes and roofs in Sale

Near the town centre and along the older roads, Victorian and Edwardian terraces, semis and villas have slate roofs, bays and chimneys. Much of Sale was built up between the wars, with semis and detached houses under clay or concrete tiles. Post-war estates and newer apartments, including around the town centre, complete the picture.

A town of loft conversions

Sale's family homes have been extended in every direction, and loft conversions with roof windows or dormers are everywhere. Ageing roof windows from early conversions, leaking dormer junctions and slipped slates on period houses are the repairs we are most often asked about. Parts of Sale, such as Ashton upon Mersey, are within conservation areas.

Around Sale Water Park and the Mersey valley, homes on the western and southern edges catch more wind and rain. We check ridges, verges and flashings on exposed roofs and recommend lower-maintenance options where they make sense.

Typical work we're asked about in Sale
