Homes and roofs in Lees
Lees has older terraces in stone and brick with slate roofs along the main road and the older streets, with later semis, detached homes and some newer developments around them. The land rises towards the moors, giving many homes far-reaching views.
Between town and moor
Lees sits where Oldham's terraces give way to the Pennine hills. Homes on higher ground face strong winds and heavy rain, and chimney stacks, verges and flashings need regular attention. Stone terraces need repairs with materials that match.
Roof windows are a good way to make the most of the views from loft rooms in Lees, and top-hung windows offer a clearer outlook than centre-pivot designs. We can also service existing windows and replace misted glass. Later semis and detached homes in Lees more often need ridge, verge and flat roof repairs.
