VELUX® Windows and Roofing in Lostock

Homes and roofs in Lostock

Lostock is largely made up of detached and semi-detached houses and bungalows built from the inter-war years onwards, with tiled roofs, generous gardens and many extensions. Some older houses and farm buildings survive, and newer developments sit on the edges near Middlebrook.

Established homes, many extensions

Many Lostock homes have been extended with loft rooms, dormers, garden rooms and vaulted kitchens. The junctions between old and new roofs, and the flat roofs on dormers and extensions, are where most leaks start as the work ages. Mature trees fill gutters and valleys each autumn.

Roof windows in vaulted rooms and loft floors are common, and electric or solar operation makes high windows easy to use. We can service existing windows, replace failed glass and fit new windows as part of extensions or conversions.
