Homes and roofs in Goostrey
Goostrey has older cottages and farmhouses near the church and the village centre, with detached homes, semis and bungalows from the mid-twentieth century onwards. Barns and farm buildings around the village have been converted into homes.
Village in open country
Goostrey's homes face open farmland, so ridges, verges and flashings need to be robust. On homes from the 1960s to the 1980s, flat-roofed garages and extensions are often due for replacement, and early roof windows in loft rooms commonly need new glass or replacement.
Barn conversions in the area often rely on conservation-style roof windows. Electric and solar windows with rain sensors are popular in vaulted rooms. We give clear written quotes and can start from photos.
